For more than 20 years, this producer has been using our on-line, near-infrared gauging systems to accurately monitor the moisture and oil content of their products. At temperatures above 50° C (122° F), and under the permanent influence of dust and oil vapor, our gauges have provided reliable service.
With so many different brands and locations, the approach was good locally but not always consistent and, in some locations, competitive gauging was used.
Several years ago, however, there was a rethink regarding the use of measuring equipment to reduce the reliance on manual testing and to standardize the way gauges are used for process and quality control. As part of this process, our gauges, as well as competitor instruments, were closely assessed.
The input of our applications technical support team was instrumental in helping us prove the outstanding performance of our gauges. Today, there are company-wide instructions on how to measure moisture and oil -- and only NDC Technologies is specifically named.
