Service Technician

Dayton (Ohio)

NDC is currently seeking a Service Technician. Under the general direction of the Repair Operations Manager, the Service Technician will perform depot repairs and technical support to internal and external customers.

Desired Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a depot or field repair operations
  • Ability to read and utilize drawings, schematics, and written instructions
  • Must have knowledge to troubleshoot electronic, optical-mechanical and electromechanical components and assemblies
  • Ability to operate specialized test equipment, experience with electronic troubleshooting (DMM, Oscilloscope) and calibration equipment is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral with the ability to communicate across departments
  • Superior judgment and problem-solving skills, makes suggestions and recommendations to enhance workflow
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of software programs, e.g., UNIcalib, Oracle, and Microsoft Office

Functions of the Job

  • Responsible for Depot Repairs on day to day
  • Maintaining Oracle Service Cloud as conduit to external customers
  • Assist in maintaining turnaround time goals
  • Maintain less than 2% return rate on repairs
  • In collaboration with Repair Operations Manager, responsible for continuously improving department quality processes
  • Ensures that work areas have cleaned up at the end of their shift and maintain 5S standards as defined by the business
  • Responsible for prioritizing daily tasks depending on urgency and expectations
  • All other duties as assigned

Desired Education

Associates degree in a Technical field
